Lewis Carnival 2009

Today saw the Lewis Carnival procession wind its way through the town. There were five floats, two on large lorry trailers, and three on smaller vehicles. The Lewis Pipe Band did them proud, marching on ahead. Just a few pics to give you a taster of the atmosphere near the Coop roundabout.

  4. I did not spot this fairy myself, but I was reliably informed that there was a "Broken Down Ferry / Fairy" amongst the fairies :-D

  8. We had our summer festival this weekend and they had the floats and beauty queen, Breakfast in the Park and
lots of local arts and craft sales. They also have a car show with all the Gas guzzlers from the fifties and before.
    It's good fun.
