Lewis & Harris in the 90s

It is worth noting that the above view no longer exists. The (former) Storlann, Post Office and Croileagan presently stand in the centre / right of the picture, blocking the view down Loch Erisort.

Ardvourlie Castle is still a ruin, and the Scaladale Centre does not yet exist.

    Really interesting that in just over ten years so much has altered, Arnish- I wonder how many islands can say the same? Millport looks exactly the same (bar a few shop changes) as it did in postcards from the 50's.. Not sure if that's progress or lack of it!
