Politics

Is a game this blog tends to stay out of, but with the expenses row down in Westminster mushrooming, it was pointed out that the MP for Na h-Eileanan an Iar (in other words, the Western Isles) has also had his expenses scrutinised. All I can say is - Toblerone?!

  1. Have to admit I finding this whole saga/revealations of expense abuse/fiddling really unpleasant as I naively expect the MP's to be honest/decent and able/willing to manage on quite decent money......but so many are being exposed now, always expect few chancers/scoundrels but so many are at it.......very disappointing and I think Joe Public has really had an eye-opener and will not trust these people ever again.

I have always agreed with Billy Connolly's view on this:

"Anyone who aspires to become a politician should be forbidden from ever being one".
